FAQ

  • Do you make to size?
Yes, most of our tables and cabinets can be made to size. Fitted furniture is of course designed specifically to your requirements. Call John on 07718 257 176, email: info@stantonfurniture.co.uk or message us via Facebook to enquire.
  • What areas do you cover?
We deliver giftware & small items of furniture nationally. Larger items, those requiring complex assembly and fitted furniture are delivered throughout Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire. If further away, please do ask as we can somtimes accomodate your needs depending on circumstances.
  • Do you take card payments?
Yes we do. Bank transfer & cash are welcome, as well as paypal for small items and accessories.
  • How soon can I expect delivery?
We make a large range of goods. Some are in stock for imediate dispatch. Most can be made to order within a few weeks. Some more complex items might take 6-8 weeks.
  • What are your social and environmental policies?
We never use tropical hardwoods. Most of our timber is certified by FSC or equivalent schemes. Some comes from small producers not affiliated with any scheme, but these are UK & European based where local standards exceed international standards. Most of our timber comes from Sweden, Finland, Romania, Italy, France, Canada, Chili, USA & the UK. Our fittings and fixings are European & UK sourced. The vast majority of our by-products are turned into fuel or animal bedding. We use water based paints or natural oil / wax finishes. We support & impliment the living wage scheme & avoid purchasing from sources that do not match our ethical & environmental standards.
  • What quality assurance do you offer?
First and foremost we make things properly using tried and tested methods. We've been making furniture for nearly 20 years. Of thousands of items delivered, I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of products reported broken - usually due to hidden timber defects or miss use (like being dropped down the stairs while moving house!). All have been promptly repaired free or at minimal cost. I would expect most of our products to last for decades, even lifetimes. Our premium european hardware comes with manufacturer backed guarantees from five to twenty years. All of our products made in house as of June 2018 (which is virtually everything other than some chairs and mattresses) carry a lifetime service warranty. That means our free / at cost repair scheme lasts the liftime of the product. See individual product descriptions for guarantee periods.
